Encouraging letters bring HOPE

Encourage One Another

“I am a recovering addict and very new to my faith. I do struggle still to develop a relationship and come closer to the Lord. I struggle with being able to forgive – myself mostly, but others too. I also struggle with worry, letting go and giving the reigns to the Lord and learning how to live the life of a Christian woman. Is there a volunteer who would consider writing me – to help me grow in my faith in the Lord and to keep the light and peace inside of me.”

Letters of Hope Ministries has committed volunteers dedicated to communicating the love of Jesus to those women incarcerated at NCCW. Receiving an encouraging letter from a writer brings hope to that woman struggling with worry and hopelessness and lets them know that Jesus has not forgotten them and that He loves them.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV
